The short version

ChatBlink is built so that chatting with strangers requires as little personal information as possible. You can open the site and talk to someone without an account, an email address, or a name. What little we do collect exists to keep the service running and the matching pool clean — not to build a profile of you.

What we collect

When you use ChatBlink, our servers process the technical data any website needs: your IP address, browser and device type, and basic usage events such as when a match starts or ends. If you choose to create an account, we store the details you give us. If you buy coins, payment is handled by our payment processor — card numbers never touch ChatBlink servers.

Your camera and microphone

Video and voice on ChatBlink run as live, one-on-one streams between you and the person you are matched with. Camera and microphone access is requested only when you turn them on, and you can revoke it at any time through your browser. A chat is a conversation between two people — there is no audience, no public archive, and no room where others can watch.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not broker it, rent it, or trade it. We do not build advertising profiles from your conversations, and we do not run third-party ad networks inside chats. Analytics on the site measure how pages perform, not what you say in them.

Cookies and analytics

ChatBlink uses cookies and similar storage for the boring essentials: keeping the site working, remembering preferences, and measuring traffic in aggregate so we know which pages help people and which ones confuse them. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the core chat experience still works.

How long things are kept

Operational data is kept only as long as it is useful: logs rotate out on a short schedule, moderation records are kept while a report is being handled, and account data stays until you ask us to delete it. We keep less on purpose — data we do not hold cannot be leaked, sold, or subpoenaed into someone else’s hands.

Your controls and how to reach us

You can use ChatBlink as a guest with no account at all, block and report anyone in one tap, and leave simply by closing the tab — nothing follows you out of a chat. For questions about your data, or to ask for an account to be deleted, write to [email protected]. If you are new here, our safety tips are worth two minutes before your first match.
