The one-sentence version
The person on the other side of your chat is a stranger who showed up with the same hope you did — treat them like it. Everything below is that sentence spelled out, because a matching pool only stays good if the people in it keep it good.
How a good chat behaves
Say something real in the first line. Take a no as a complete answer — about the camera, about personal questions, about anything. Skip freely when a chat is not for you; that is what the button is for, and nobody owes anyone a second goodbye. People arrive here from every timezone and background, and the built-in translation means a language gap is a starting point, not a wall. Curiosity travels well; contempt does not.
What is never welcome
No harassment, threats, or hate aimed at anyone. No sexual pressure — not in text, not on camera, not as a joke. No scams, sob stories engineered for money, or links meant to pull people off-platform. No pretending to be someone you are not, including pretending to be older or younger than you are. No recording or sharing another person’s chat without their consent. And ChatBlink is adults only: no one under 18 may use it, and anyone who appears to be should be reported immediately.
What happens when someone crosses the line
Every chat carries skip, block and report within one tap. Reporting is the one that protects the next person: reports go to a moderation team on duty around the clock, and consequences scale with severity — a warning for a first stumble, removal from the pool for a pattern, a permanent ban for the serious stuff. Severe violations skip the warning stage. False reports are themselves a violation; the report button is a safety tool, not a weapon.
Protecting your side of the screen
The guidelines govern what others may do; a few habits protect you regardless. Keep identifying details — full name, address, workplace, handles you use elsewhere — out of early chats. Treat any request for money as the end of that conversation. And leave early: skipping a chat that feels off is never rude. Our safety tips page is the two-minute version of this paragraph.
If we get it wrong
Moderation involves judgment, and judgment occasionally misses. If action was taken against your account and you believe it was a mistake, write to [email protected] with what happened. A human reviews appeals, and a wrong call gets reversed. What we will not reverse is enforcement that kept someone else safe.
